We are highly collaborative in our work with clients. Our approach encourages creativity and innovation, but is also steeped in analytic discipline. We foster better alignment, organizational capacity and operational rigor.

Based on our experiences running businesses and helping CEO’s and management teams, we’ve evolved a set of principles that guide our work:

  • The organization, from the CEO on down, must be in constant dialog with customers. No one department will adequately capture what the customer thinks or desires.
  • Everyone in the organization has a role in adding value to customers. And everyone should understand what his or her role is and why it’s important.
  • More often than not, defining the leverageable opportunities in your organization is more about discovery than it is about invention. So we ask new questions, challenge conventional premises, and inject new perspective.
  • The ultimate goal is results, therefore, strategic planning and execution are components of a single integrated activity. It’s not, “First we plan and then we execute.” The process of getting the results you planned begins when planning does.
  • Getting the results you planned requires top-to-bottom alignment, which means managing change successfully in the organization. As customer needs change, your employees need to adapt to and align around new directions and ways of working. It’s risky to assume they’ll just do that on their own.
